NGC 300

Constellation: Sculptor

NGC 300 is a spiral galaxies in the constellation of Sculptor. It is one of the closest galaxies to the Local Group at about 6.07 million Ly from Earth and has a diameter of 94’000 Ly. It is inclined at an angle of 42° (viewed from Earth) and shares many characteristics with the Messier 33, the Triangulum galaxy. Link to interactive sky chart.
