Supernova SN2022hrs

Constellation: Virgo

Supernova SN2022hrs was discovered on April 16, 2022 by Koichi Itagaki from Japan. It is located in NGC 4647, close to Messier 60. NGC 4647 is about 63 million Ly away. The brighter galaxy at the bottom-right is NGC 4638, and the dimmer one is NGC 4637.

Before and after:

I was lucky to have captured the same are of the sky on April 24, 2022, and after the discovery was announced, I took an image of the same frame on the first available clear night at home on April 27, 2022.
The image below shows the before and after comparison. These frames (58x120s) were taken with my backyard setup at a FL=516mm and f/2.2.
