Sh2-199, The Soul nebula

Constellation: Cassiopeia

The Soul nebula (Sh2-199) is an emission nebulae located in the constellation of Cassiopeia. Several small open clusters are embedded in the nebula: CR 34, 632, and 634 (in the head) and IC 1848 (in the body). It is about 6’500 Ly away. Link to interactive sky chart.
