Sh2-125, the Cocoon nebula

Sh2-125, the Cocoon nebula, also known as IC 5146, is an emission/reflexion nebula in the constellation Cygnus. It is a stellar nursery where star-formation is ongoing. Its distance from Earth is about 4000 Ly. Link to interactive sky chart.
