NGC 7331 and Stephan’s Quintet
Constellation: Pegasus
NGC 7331 (Caldwell 30) (bottom-left) is an unbarred spiral galaxy in the constellation of Pegasus. It is about 300-350 million Ly away. Stephan’s Quintet is a visual grouping of five galaxies (top-right). Four of the five galaxies in Stephan’s Quintet form a true galaxy group, Hickson Compact Group 92, and are about 210-340 million Ly away. The blue galaxy is NGC 7320 and is likely 39 million Ly away, and therefore not part of the compact group. Link to interactive sky chart.
