Messier 82, the Cigar galaxy

Messier 82. the Cigar galaxy, is a starbust galaxy in the constellation Ursa Major. It is about 12 million Ly from Earth. It is a member of the Messier 81 group. The starbust activity is thought to have been triggered by Messier 81.
