Abell 7
Constellation: Lepus
Abell 7 (a.k.a PK 215-30.1 and PNG 215.5-30.8) is a faint planetary nebula in the constellation Lepus, just South of Orion. Its fading white dwarf can be seen quasi in the middle of the nebula. It is located about 1’800 Ly from Earth, its diameter is about 8 Ly and is about 20’000 yrs old. The galaxy to (10 arcmin NW of the PN’s center) is MCG-03-13-058 (a.k.a. Leda 1661 and PGC 16611) is about 160 million Ly away. Link to interactive sky chart.
