NGC 3532 – The Wishing Well Cluster

Constellation: Carina

NGC 3532, the Wishing Well cluster, is an open cluster in the constellation of Carina. It is located about 1’320 Ly away. The cluster contains approximately 150 stars. It includes seven red giants and seven white dwarfs. At the bottom left corner of the image (SE) one can see two planetary nebulae (see below).  Link to interactive sky chart.
