LBN 990 and VdB 70
Constellation: Monoceros
LBN 990 and VdB 70 are reflection nebulae in the constellation Monoceros. LBN 990 is about 8’500 Ly away. The spherical-looking VdB 70 (a.k.a. GN 06.06.0.02 or [RK68] 50) is likely due to the white-blue giant star HD 42050, and possibly to some extent to the B5Ib star HD 42073. Link to interactive sky chart.
