Cederblad 51 is a blue reflection nebula in the constellation of Orion north of the star λ Orionis (Meissa). It is part of Sh2-264, in what is commonly known as Orion’s head. Link to interactive sky chart.

This is a star-forming region, and hosts a number of Herbig-Haro (HH) objects. HH objects, commonly found in star-forming regions like this one, are bright patches of nebulosity associated with newborn stars. This image shows HH176, HH179, HH243, HH244 and HH245.
