NGC 772, the Fiddlehead galaxy

NGC 772, the Fiddlehead galaxy, is an unbarred spiral galaxy in the constellation Aries. Its distance from Earth is about 130 million Ly. It is surrouded by a number of galaxies, such as NGC 770 (to the south, a dwarf elliptical satellite galaxy), which tidal forces are thought to be the cause of the emergence of a single elongated spiral arm.
